After returning from a weekend trip to visit family, I’d like to take a step back from the chaos of the current events news cycle and ask a few questions about an important character trait that has taken on a different meaning in our society than it has historically held. Tonight we will be discussing courage. What is courage? Why do we need it? How do we get it? How is it misused and improperly defined? Who do we look to as courageous in our culture? What happens when courage is utterly warped or rendered inert?
It is important in these times for us to spend time discussing topics outside of the narrow focus of the perception management mechanisms and to think critically about crucial characteristics. We cannot allow ourselves to lose our broader perspective lest we be swept about by the constant barrage of breathtaking revelations that are cropping up on an hourly basis now.
Bring your questions to our open forum and join us for another lively meeting of The Amateur Society. We look forward to having you with us. Stay safe and God bless!
